On June 3, Tom Cruise attended the Los Angeles premiere of the movie “Ballerina,” starring Ana de Armas. In an exclusive interview with E! News‘ Will Marfuggi, de Armas was asked to respond to Cruise’s comments about her performance in the film. She said, “It makes me really happy and proud.”
“It’s surreal that someone like him is liking the movie and supporting the film and celebrating other people’s films. It’s amazing,” the actor added. Her response grabbed viewers’ attention as it came in the middle of their ongoing dating rumors. At the premiere, the tabloid asked the “Mission: Impossible” star about de Armas’ work in “Ballerina.” Cruise assured, “She didn’t need any advice from me. She’s got experience in action and she’s really good.”
For the uninitiated, rumors about Cruise and de Armas’ dating started circulating in February during their London outing. Reportedly, they arrived together in a helicopter and were snapped having a fun conversation with the ground staff. PEOPLE shared a few photos from that day; however, the publication later dismissed their dating rumors.
Despite the denial, the speculations didn’t die down. Cruise and de Armas were even spotted at David Beckham’s birthday together. Moreover, they celebrated the “Blonde” star’s 37th birthday together. A report even suggested that he has “been courting her,” but the actor wants to take things slow.
Meanwhile, de Armas is set to appear in the upcoming movie, “Ballerina.” Releasing on June 6, the film also stars Keanu Reeves in the lead as his famous character, John Wick.
