Selena Gomez was first linked romantically to Benny Blanco in December 2023. The following year, the couple surprised everyone with the news of their engagement. While the lovebirds are not racing to the altar, record producer Blanco is “dreaming” of having children with Gomez. In a recent interview with InStyle, the record producer said he is already thinking about starting a family with Gomez someday. “I love kids; I love being an uncle,” he said in the interview. “I want to be a dad, though, God willing. I’m just dreaming and praying every day.”
Likewise, even his fiancée loves kids and wishes to have children in the future with Blanco. Gomez opened up about her desire to embrace motherhood on the March 24 episode of Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose Podcast.” The singer said she loves “making them [children] laugh; they’re just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it.”
However, while speaking to Vanity Fair in September, Selena Gomez revealed that she can’t have her “own children” due to a “lot of medical issues” that could put her and her baby’s life in “jeopardy.” Despite this, Gomez is hopeful one day she will be able to experience motherhood, although “not necessarily” the way she envisioned it. The singer is open to “surrogacy or adoption.” She is just “excited for what that journey will look like.” The process might look a “little different” for the star, but she does not “care” as they will be her “baby” at the end.
