For Miley Cyrus, getting the perfect skin came at the cost of her taste buds, but she didn’t seem to mind it that much. On Monday night, she performed at a surprise event at the Bemelmans Bar at NYC’s The Carlyle Hotel and disclosed one key beauty secret during the show. After a fan in the crowd praised Cyrus’ skin, saying it looked “perfect,” she couldn’t help but spill all the beans.
“Thank you, I tried that salmon sperm,” the Grammy winner promptly responded, leaving the crowd laughing uproariously. She then asked the fan if they had ever tried the buzzing skincare treatment before admitting that she had and revealed her thoughts on it. With a look of subtle disgust on her face, Cyrus disclosed that it tasted “strange” but did wonders with her skin, making it look “good.”
Cyrus continued to share her salmon sperm facial experience with the fans who had joined her for the celebratory show for her new album. She explained that she “didn’t mean to drink it,” and that it was “like a whole mask.” Regardless of having mixed feelings about the beauty treatment, the Disney Channel alum confirmed that the results were radiant. “The rumors are true — salmon sperm is 100,” she told the audience.
Cyrus had one final joke up her sleeve as she quipped about never meeting the salmon. “It came pre-packaged,” she said, expressing a bit of doubt that she didn’t know if it was what it said it was. “But I do feel like my skin’s looking good,” she concluded while the crowd cheered her on.
