Bravo’s Sold on SLC Canceled After One Season

Bravo’s Sold on SLC is officially a one-season wonder. The series has been cancelled after one season. Apparently, the network just wasn’t sold on this show.

The news of the show’s cancellation didn’t come from Bravo directly. Instead, it came from cast member Malaysia Fua. Further, she posted a lengthy message on Instagram bidding farewell to the short-lived show.

Sold on SLC Season 2 will not happen at Bravo

Malaysia typed up an entire novel about her time on Sold on SLC. You’d think she had been on TV for a decade with the way she carried on in this post.

“Being part of Sold On SLC was a wild ride,” Malaysia began. Additionally, “From pre-production to post, cast to crew, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes: THANK YOU.”

She continued, “While we won’t be getting a season two, I know this show gave me exactly what I needed- a voice. It helped me step into who I am, fully and unapologetically, & I believe that was the purpose all along.”

Malaysia was part of the team of real estate agents based in Salt Lake City and working under the direction of Presido Real Estate CEO Jennifer Yeo. When Bravo first announced the series, they teased Jennifer’s connection to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, with Lisa Barlow even appearing in an episode of the show.

An early promo video for the series also showed Lisa saying, “Hi, baby gorgeous. Did you think the SLC had enough drama with the Housewives?”

Jennifer responded, “Just wait until you see what my realtors bring to the table! Don’t miss Sold on SLC on Bravo.”

Consequently, they didn’t bring enough to the table for Bravo to give them a second season, but this could also signal a bigger strategic shift for the network.

Sold on SLC streams on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
