Miley Cyrus never holds back from baring her soul, and she is one of the few stars who loves to speak her mind. In a recent episode of the “Every Single Album” podcast, the actor struck old chords, reflecting on her teen romance with ex Nick Jonas. Cyrus not only opened up about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend but also admitted that she is still into him. However, Cyrus revealed that there are no bad feelings between them despite a bad breakup.

Miley Cyrus is not holding back from talking about her previous relationship with her ex, Nick Jonas. On the June 6 episode of the “Every Single Album” podcast, the 32-year-old even disclosed what she actually wanted to write about Jonas in her 2009 book, “Miles to Go,” post-breakup, instead of what was published. “I probably was like … ‘Nick Jonas dumped me, he’s a d—.’ But they were like, ‘We can say he’s not a very nice boy,'” referring to the writer with whom she worked then. “But I was probably like, ‘He’s an a——.'”
Cyrus and Jonas first met in 2006 at a Charity Benefit. The Jonas Brothers even guest-starred on her “Hannah Montana,” the Disney sitcom that launched Cyrus to stardom. During their time together, the former couple collaborated on the songs “Before the Storm” and “We Got the Party.” However, their whirlwind romance came to an end in 2007 after Jonas broke up with Cyrus right before the concert.
Despite the bitter breakup over a decade ago, Cyrus has only good things to say about her ex now. In the podcast, she admitted that she still “like[s] Nick” and is still “into him.” The singer also gushed over their nickname from when they dated, quipping, “Niley for life.”
The pop icon even acknowledged that despite the past, both of them have moved on, and “everything is good in the world.” Jonas is married to actor Priyanka Chopra. The couple is also parents to daughter Malti Marie. Meanwhile, Cyrus has been in a relationship with musician Maxx Morando since 2021 after her divorce from her ex-husband, actor Liam Hemsworth.
