Blake Lively shared a powerful message after Justin Baldoni’s counter lawsuit against her was recently dropped. The “It Ends With Us” co-stars have been embroiled in a bitter legal battle for several months now. The trial is set for early next year in March.
However, on Monday, a judge dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively, Ryan Reynolds, their publicist, and The New York Times. Following the grant, she penned a heartfelt note to share what it has now inspired her to do.
Blake Lively promises to stand by women now more than ever

Blake Lively took to her Instagram Story and penned a powerful message after Justin Baldoni’s counter lawsuit was dropped by a New York judge on Monday. The 37-year-old shared that last week, she “stood proudly alongside 19 organizations united in defending women’s rights to speak up for their safety.” She then subtly slammed her “It Ends With Us” co-star’s countersuit against her.
The actor wrote, “Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit.” She added, “…including the manufactured shame that tries to break us.” Lively highlighted that while the lawsuit against her was “defeated,” she acknowledges that “many don’t have the resources to fight back.” She then revealed in her note what the countersuit dismissal has inspired her to do.
Lively stated that she is “more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves.” This includes their “safety,” “integrity,” “dignity,” and “story.” She then noted that “there are protections out there,” sharing information on “some of the incredible organizations.”
Furthermore, Blake Lively also expressed her love and gratitude to those who supported her during this time. She concluded her message, noting, “I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you.” Meanwhile, Justin Baldoni has yet to provide his comments since the dismissal of his counter lawsuit.
