Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s highly publicized divorce has left the “Maleficent” actor with trust issues. Followed by an eight-year-long legal battle, the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-stars finalized their divorce in December 2024.
Angelina Jolie ‘has difficulty trusting’ after Brad Pitt divorce, says ‘source’
Angelina Jolie, who is 50 and single, reportedly talked about dating casually after her divorce. However, RadarOnline reported that the mother of six is struggling with trust issues after splitting with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. According to the tabloid, a source claiming as “a friend” said, “Ange still has difficulty trusting. I don’t know if she’ll ever fully get over the trauma of her divorce.”
Previously, the publication quoted a source stating that Jolie was still hurting over the separation. She reportedly told her friends that “she’s ready to have fun with men on a no-strings basis.” However, the insider insisted, claiming that “it’s all nonsense” and that she’s aware of it.
Pitt and Jolie tied the knot in 2014, but after two years, she filed for divorce. The split seemingly occurred due to a private jet incident, where the “Troy” actor got drunk and attacked Jolie and the kids. During the divorce battle, her lawyers’ allegations stated, “While Pitt’s history of abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s 2016 plane trip from France to L.A., this marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well.” Although the incident was later investigated, Pitt didn’t face any charges.
Meanwhile, Jolie shifted her focus to the upbringing of the couple’s six kids — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox. Apparently, she led those eight years of her life fighting the divorce battle in “loneliness and sadness,” as per another RadarOnline source.
