Kanye West has done it again; the rapper has changed his name, and it’s not Ye anymore. As per The U.S. Sun, the rapper will now go by a new name – “Ye Ye.” His previous filings referred to him as “Ye West.” However, with the updated paperwork, it seems the singer has dropped the surname entirely, and fans are now waiting for Kanye to publicly announce his new legal name on his social media.
Kanye West now goes by ‘ye ye’: ‘Sources’
According to The U.S. Sun, Kanye West has once again changed his name, and this time, it happens to be “Ye Ye.” It was in 2021 when West first changed his name to “Ye” officially after filing papers in a Los Angeles court. Now, this year, the rapper has added one more “Ye” to his name, changing his name for the second time.
West’s chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, recently submitted new documents to the California Secretary of State. As per the documents, his name is now “Ye Ye.” The new name was listed in the “Statement of Information.” It provides updated business details, including office address, the type of industry, officers, and directors.
Ox Paha Inc., which is one of the main firms and files hundreds of trademarks on behalf of Ye, also referred to him as “Ye Ye” on all official documents. The shift reflected across multiple business entities, be it his music businesses like Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc and his clothing company, Yeezy Apparel. However, the artist has not yet made any official announcement about his new “Ye Ye” moniker on social media or in any other statement.
Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband has previously made it clear that he does not like to be called by his birth name. Recently, during an interview with Piers Morgan, the rapper reportedly “stomped off like a big baby” for being referred to by his birth name. After the dispute between his fans and Morgan, the singer took to X (formerly Twitter) on June 1 to address the issue. On the social media platform, he clarified that his “name is Ye.”
