Ryan Reynolds Out in NYC After Major Blake Lively Lawsuit Update

Ryan Reynolds beamed with pride in New York City after a massive lawsuit win in the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni legal battle. According to the New York Post, a judge granted the couple’s motion to dismiss Baldoni and Wayfarer’s $400 million countersuit on Monday in a major blow to the director. In doing so, the judge tossed out his lawsuit alleging extortion and defamation, along with the $250 million defamation suit against the New York Times.

Since the lawsuit update, Reynolds made his first public appearance in NYC with Shawn Levy, his longtime friend and “Deadpool” director. It also marked one of his very few outings since Baldoni’s explosive countersuit against him and Lively.

Backgrid shared photos of Ryan Reynolds enjoying a good vibe in NYC with Shawn Levy after the Blake Lively lawsuit update. For the first time in months, he looked like he felt good and took it easy, strolling down the streets of the city with Levy. The duo has been long-term associates and worked together in Reynolds’ box-office success “Deadpool” movies, with the latter serving as director. They also radiated confidence and appeared to be walking with purpose.

The award-winning actor appeared laid-back and optimistic in a casual outfit, chatting and smiling with his friend. Meanwhile, the filmmaker donned a similar look and flashed a wide smile for the cameras. Reynolds brought his charm with a touch of street style in a half-sleeved button-down, pants, and classic white sneakers. On the other hand, Levy styled a shirt with the sleeves rolled quarter-way, denim, and New Balance shoes.

That same day, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds landed a big win in their legal battle against Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit. The New York Post confirmed that Judge Lewis J. Liman granted their petition to dismiss Baldoni’s multimillion-dollar countersuit, alleging defamation and extortion. Additionally, the judge tossed out his $250 million defamation suit against the New York Times.

Nevertheless, Judge Liman offered Baldoni an opening to correct and refile two claims against Lively and Reynolds by June 23.
