Blake Lively Serves Scooter Braun Subpoena in Justin Baldoni Legal Battle — Report

Blake Lively is set to subpoena Scooter Braun and HYBE America as she moves forward in her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The latest update in the highly publicized lawsuit comes just two days after a judge dismissed the “It Ends With Us” actor-director’s countersuit against his co-star, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others. Now, Lively is seeking to delve into how Braun’s HYBE America may have benefited Baldoni.

According to the latest update, Blake Lively has subpoenaed Scooter Braun and HYBE America in the legal battle against Justin Baldoni. The 43-year-old investor serves as the CEO of the U.S. arm of HYBE Corporation. The businessman stepped into the role after his Ithaca Holdings merged with the South Korean multinational entertainment company.

Deadline reported that Lively’s lawyers sent the notice of subpoena on Wednesday amid the ongoing legal battle. The first attempt to serve it is set for Thursday, June 12. According to the outlet, it is seeking to examine any documents and information that HYBE America has regarding Melissa Nathan’s involvement with Baldoni. The work crisis PR pro was named as a co-defendant in Lively’s lawsuit against her “It Ends With Her” co-star.

The court filing portrayed Nathan as one of the masterminds behind the alleged smear campaign against Lively last year. Thus, the new subpoena aims to obtain information that can give insight into the same. This can provide a breakthrough for what happened when the actors worked on the 2024 film together.

Braun was also infamously embroiled in legal battles with Taylor Swift regarding the master recordings of her music. The songstress recently marked a major work milestone by buying back the same. Meanwhile, Lively’s new legal move comes just after a New York judge tossed Baldoni’s countersuit. The trial for their legal battle is set for March 2026.
