Why Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko Shouldn’t Be Run off The Valley Cast — Opinion

Let’s clear something up right now, not every Bravo cast member has to be flipping tables, dragging exes, or plotting revenge porn over brunch. Sometimes, what a show really needs is a little bit of balance. A vibe check, if you will. And on The Valley, that balance comes from Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko. Now, don’t get me wrong. I live for the chaos. I’m not here to cancel the drama or silence the mess. But if we’re going to keep watching this friend group spiral into baby showers turned battlegrounds, someone’s got to provide some sanity. So let’s talk about why Bravo and the cast should think twice before pushing them out.

Most of the time, Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko provide the lightness The Valley needs

There’s a reason you need a palate cleanser after a heavy episode. And when The Valley starts spiraling, Nia and Danny often feel like the only two people who aren’t actively trying to one-up each other in the mess department. I’ve enjoyed watching Danny’s confessionals in particular. While Nia is bringing a calming energy to a group, Danny is just trying to keep things light with dad jokes and awkward charm. As a couple, they are not the loudest, but that is what makes them so valuable to the series.

Every cast needs someone to de-escalate the drama instead of adding fuel to the fire. Personally, I think Nia and Danny give The Valley a bit of warmth and a little heart. I think it is important not to forget that this show is about real friendships, real relationships, and real-life transitions. And watching Nia and Danny navigate marriage, parenthood, and friend group dynamics without losing their minds, it turns out that is pretty relatable.

Nia is all about positivity despite The Valley cast’s toxicity

If there were a Miss Congeniality crown for The Valley, Nia would have it locked down. She’s earned it. From the jump, Nia brought a grounded energy to the group, and considering she’s a literal former Miss USA, it tracks. Fans learned quickly that the mother of four was not about the mean girl vibes. She revealed, “If I can be that point of light and kindness and positivity, I’d rather bring that into people’s lives.” She added, “I’ve been through so much, but I’ve always chosen to be positive.”

What makes Nia stand out isn’t just her beauty queen past. It’s her refusal to get dragged into every petty squabble. Nia revealed, “My therapist is like, ‘you’ve had to be that way to survive.’ I’m not going to be negative with people when I have so much to be grateful for, and if my friends want to say that I’m hiding things because I’m choosing to be intentional and positive, then they can say whatever they want to say. But I know my truth.” Nia could’ve easily snapped back, clapped back, or walked out, but she doesn’t. Instead, she sets boundaries, speaks up when it matters, and keeps it moving. That’s mature. That’s growth. That’s Bravo evolution.

Danny’s journey with drinking could be an important storyline on The Valley

Danny has been caught taking swigs from bottles in the pantry. But it hasn’t just been alcohol, as one clip showed him sipping olive oil too. In the premiere, Danny was open about cutting back on alcohol and his desire to be a more present husband and father. That’s not just a side plot, that’s real, raw, and incredibly relevant to a show about thirty-somethings adjusting to adulthood. However, his story has taken a turn as he now has to fight Janet Caperna every step of the way. The mother of one has made it her mission to accuse Danny, aka Dark Side Danny, of having an issue with alcohol.

While viewers are unclear how this will play out, one thing is for sure: Danny is less than impressed. To allege that someone has a drinking problem takes a lot of balls. And quite frankly, Janet should know better, especially being married to a lawyer. But Danny is trying to handle the situation with facts and some form of respect. He is also making sure to stick up for himself. Not every man in The Valley is giving us emotional insight or self-awareness. Seeing Danny reflect on his choices, take accountability, and try to be better? That’s rare.  So, if anyone is thinking of trying to push Bookos out, they should think twice.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
