Brad Pitt Talks ‘Mistakes’ & ‘Moving On’ After Angelina Jolie Divorce

Brad Pitt shared that learning from “mistakes” and “moving on” helped him find contentment and stay grounded after his divorce from Angelina Jolie. The star was at the “F1” premiere in Mexico City when he stopped for a brief conversation with Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner. He also opened up about realizing the significance of surrounding oneself with people. The co-host teased the subject by introducing Pitt’s interview with GQ last month. In his cover story, he had mentioned feeling “fairly contained” and “warm and secure” at this stage in his life.

Brad Pitt talks about where he is in life right at ‘F1’ premiere

Brad Pitt’s “F1” premiere in Mexico City marked an important step in his reflective journey since his divorce from Angelina Jolie. While briefly stopping by to talk to Entertainment Tonight, the actor discussed putting the past in the past and learning from the lessons. Co-host Nischelle Turner brought up an excerpt from Pitt’s recent GQ cover story, where he admitted to feeling “fairly contained” and “warm and secure” in life. Turner questioned what exactly made him “feel that way, and so grounded.”

The Oscar-winning actor’s response was a relatable and meaningful input. “Like, no matter the mistake, you know, you just learn from it and move on,” he told the correspondent, who agreed. The 61-year-old star further shared that he strongly believes this realization and learning from your past mistakes will “lead to the next success.” Pitt continued that at his age, having an epiphany about the importance of surrounding yourself with the “people you love” and who “love you back” does the trick. This included “friends” and “family” for him.

Brad Pitt thinks it’s a “pretty simple equation” when it comes to letting go and moving forward. He had previously echoed similar sentiments in his GQ discussion, claiming he feels “warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am.” These candid comments from the actor came months after he and his ex-wife, Jolie, finalized their divorce.
