Ryan Reynolds Seemingly Addresses Blake Lively Legal Battle Amid Major Update

Ryan Reynolds seemingly addressed the ongoing legal battle between his wife, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni. The actor was recently in attendance at Cannes Lions 2025, where he had a few words to say during a panel at Stagwell’s Sport Beach. Reynolds’ remarks came after a major update in Lively’s bitter legal feud with her “It Ends With Us” co-star. Earlier this month, a judge dismissed Baldoni’s counter lawsuit against the “Gossip Girl” star and others.

Ryan Reynolds jokes ‘I’ve been around lawyers’ at Cannes Lions 2025

Ryan Reynolds subtly shared a remark amid Blake Lively’s legal battle with her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni. Page Six reported that the 48-year-old actor and film producer seemingly addressed the bitter feud during a panel at Stagwell’s Sport Beach at Cannes Lions 2025. The situation arose when Reynolds was about to toss a water bottle to an audience member who had been feeling hot at the outdoor event.

However, the “Deadpool” actor held back from tossing it. Instead, Reynolds told the attendee to come to the stage and take the bottle themselves. The Marvel star said, “I’m not throwing this.” Reynolds then jokingly continued, “I’ve been around lawyers,” and added, “You can walk up here and grab it.” The actor was in attendance at the event with Rob McElhenney to promote their Welsh football team, Wrexham.

The subtle remark amid the legal battle came after a New York judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, their publicist, and The New York Times. The “It Ends With Us” co-stars have been embroiled in the highly publicised legal battle for several months now. Despite the major update, it is believed that the lawsuit drama is far from over.

The Daily Mail recently reported that the case may continue for a long time. The insight came from a veteran lawyer, Omar Serrato, who said, “I don’t think this will be over any time soon.” The trial attorney also added, “I think we have a long way to go.” Meanwhile, the trial is set for March 2026.
