Sabrina Carpenter’s ex Barry Keoghan is unfazed by ‘Manchild’ shade, ‘source’ claims

After breaking up with her ex, Barry Keoghan, Sabrina Carpenter released a series of songs speculated to be about the actor. With the release of “Manchild,” Carpenter did not just take jabs at the song’s subjects, but the lyrics have reportedly been her most explicit songwriting to date. Naturally, netizens wondered what Keoghan had to say about it. But, contrary to a huge reaction, insiders close to the actor revealed that he found the attention “amusing.”

Carpenter’s lyrics include, “Manchild / Why you always come a-running to me?” She poured raw emotion into the song, seemingly publicizing the nature of her relationships. However, Keoghan is reportedly keeping his cool. According to an exclusive report by The Irish Sun, insiders claimed the actor was “very amused that he’s the centre of the song.” Emphasizing the Oscar-nominee’s dedication to his work, the source continued, “But he’s got bigger things to concentrate on.”

Keoghan is preparing for his role as Ringo Starr in a new film series on The Beatles. Consequently, his entire focus has pivoted towards the role, attempting to enact the legendary singer perfectly. Describing the set, Keoghan said, “The camp is like bootcamp and it’s a place where you have time and you try things.” He elaborated, “For Ringo, you get to approach the walk, the accent, play around with the face.”

For Keoghan, the bootcamp is a “playground” where he is “failing” and “learning.” Moreover, the actor’s resolve in working hard, quitting alcohol, and deleting social media suggested his desire to focus on his craft.
