Kanye West ‘Fuming’ After Jay-Z Seemingly Shaded Him at Beyonce’s Concert, Says ‘Source’

Kanye West is reportedly not too happy about Jay-Z‘s subtle shade towards him at Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter Tour. Over the past weekend, the rapper made a surprise appearance during his wife’s final concert show at Stade de France in Paris. The couple performed a few hit numbers before Jay-Z added his and West’s song “N—– in Paris” to the setlist. However, after he swapped the Yeezy founder’s name with his wife in the lyrics, the action allegedly left West “fuming,” a source exclusively told Rob Shuter’s #ShutterScoop.

Jay-Z allegedly dropped Kanye West’s name from their song’s lyrics, claims ‘source’

Months after Kanye West targeted Jay-Z and Beyonce’s kids in one of his controversial X (formerly Twitter) rants, Jay-Z’s subtle response to the issue didn’t go unnoticed. On January 22, the rapper joined his wife Beyonce on stage during the Cowboy Carter tour concert in Paris for a performance that was memorable for more than one reason.

Jay-Z took to the stage for a live duet performance with Beyonce for the first time in seven years, marking a viral moment among longtime fans of the couple. Together, the pair reportedly performed “Crazy in Love” and “Drunk in Love,” remixed with “Partition,” before he delivered a solo performance of the song “N—– in Paris” from his and West’s hit album “Watch the Throne.”

According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report, Jay-Z incorporated a lyric change that was as clear as day. Instead of rapping “Just might let you meet Ye,” he swapped it with “Just might let you meet Bey,” replacing the word “Ye” with a reference to his wife Beyonce. Videos featuring the lyric change spread far and wide, to the point that it reportedly reached West’s attention.

Insiders have revealed that West is angry about Jay-Z’s move, and fans can expect a response sooner rather than later. The source said, “He’s [West] fuming. And we know Ye doesn’t stay quiet for long.”

Jay-Z’s Cowboy Carter Tour performance and subsequent shade might have been subtle, but it was reportedly a response to West’s controversial tweet, in which he questioned the mental capabilities of the couple’s children. Although the rapper deleted his comments and posted an apology, it was too late to fix their friendship. The source told Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop that Jay-Z and Beyonce “considered suing” West. However, the former “took it to the stage instead.”
