Love Island USA bombshells are set up for drama. After all, they come into the villa days after the first round of islanders have. The original contestants had time to get to know each other, with some already building romantic bonds. Then, you have these new men and women coming in to test the strength of the new relationships. And that’s exactly what happened with Iris Kendall.
She entered Season 7 on Day 9, and viewers decided to couple her up with Jeremiah Brown. The only issue with this decision was that this was the first time he wasn’t coupled with Huda Mustafa. He and Huda had developed a close relationship, and after knowing each other for only a few days, had sex. Nonetheless, Jeremiah was shipped with Iris instead, at least until his shocking elimination. All eyes are drawn on Iris now, and while she doesn’t have her phone, her team is speaking out on her behalf.
Love Island USA Season 7 is packed full of drama
The people managing Iris’ social media accounts while she’s away are Bella Lövkvist and Malyssa Molina. Her close friends, they wrote a joint statement on the islander’s Instagram page, to address all of the on-screen drama.
“Everyone on this show is human, and they all deserve compassion. What we do want to say is how incredibly proud we are of Iris. She’s handled everything with so much empathy, grace, and strength. She’s a true girls’ girl, loyal, kind, and grounded and she deserves real love and lasting friendships,” they shared on IG.
Bella and Malyssa also explained that they are not intending to stir any drama against Iris’ co-stars.
“We want to be clear, any hate or negativity toward anyone else in the villa is not something we condone. If we ever accidentally like a shady comment, please know it’s just that, an accident.”
No matter what friendships she takes back from the villa, Iris definitely has two ride or dies. Can she outlast the Casa Amor crew? Only time will tell.
