Did The Valley’s Michelle Saniei cheat with Aaron Nosler? That is the million-dollar question.  The truth is probably somewhere in that murky gray area Bravo loves so much. Maybe it wasn’t physical. Maybe it was an emotional connection that crossed a line. Either way, Jesse Lally felt betrayed, and he wanted someone to blame. Jesse has been tracking the couple’s every move and piecing the timeline together. So, calling out Aaron might have made Jesse feel momentarily powerful, but it didn’t fix anything. It just threw gasoline on an already blazing fire. And now, with the divorce officially happening, it’s clear that whatever happened between Michelle and Aaron wasn’t the cause.

Jesse Lally thinks Michelle Saniei cheated

Since Season 2 premiered, Jesse has had a clear stance regarding the demise of his relationship. In Episode 3, he broke down his theory that Michelle and Aaron had actually been dating for over a year. The smoking gun to Jesse’s diabolical theory was the fact that  Michelle started going on Runyon hikes last year at the height of summer, wearing a full face of makeup (No one in LA does that.) And their pantry at home was stocked full of Aaron’s honey. Jesse pointed out that Aaron’s home was in close proximity to Runyon. The math was mathing for Jesse, who added, “If I find out that Aaron was the boyfriend and the guy who broke up my marriage, that will not go over well.”

Was it right for Jesse to call out Aaron on The Valley?

Bravo viewers have been teased to the edge of reason. Episode 11 left us on a cliffhanger as footage for next week showed that Jesse actually confronted Aaron during a Hawaii dinner. In the clip for next week, Jesse calmly asks, “Did you or did you not cross a line when I was married to Michelle? Emotional, physical, in any way, did you cross the line?” Aaron said nothing, but his face screamed discomfort. The moment has led many to believe that Jesse might not be wrong.

When Jesse confronted Aaron on The Valley, it was reality TV gold, but was it the right move? That depends on whether you’re Team Jesse, Team Michelle, or Team Just here for the chaos. No matter where you stand, one thing’s for sure: Jesse didn’t hold back, and the shade was thick enough to block the chill Hawaiian vibe. Jesse’s marriage was already dangling by a thread, and the rumors about Michelle and Aaron weren’t helping. So when Jesse finally decided to air it all out during the group trip, no less, it wasn’t subtle. It was a full-on Bravo showdown. It felt like an emotional Hail Mary from a man who knew his relationship had been spiraling for months.

Why are Jesse and Michelle divorcing?

Jesse told producers, “He starts dating my still-wife with a 4-year-old daughter. I would expect a man to call me up and say, ‘Listen, I’m spending a lot of time with your daughter. Do you have any boundaries? It would never happen.” So it’s safe to say Jesse is peeved. In short, Jesse wholeheartedly believes that his wife stepped out on him, and he wants to be heard. He added, “Michelle admitted that she cheated on me, and I think that she cheated on me with Aaron. And now I have to be on vacation with him. He deserved a f*cking punch in the face.”

Michelle has flat-out denied ever cheating on Jesse with Aaron. But the jury is still out when it comes to viewers. During Season 1 the couple were not exactly thriving. From the jump, viewers could see the tension between Jesse and Michelle. Between Jesse’s traditional values and Michelle’s craving for independence, they were speaking two completely different languages. Add in a newborn, a Bravo crew, and a friend group that thrives on gossip? That’s a pressure cooker with no off switch. It became apparent that Michelle had checked out of the marriage even before Jesse’s ayahuasca retreat. The divorce is about years of miscommunication, mismatched priorities, and emotional distance. Aaron may have been the symptom, but the disease was already spreading.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
