Prince William is repositioning the monarchy, and it reportedly doesn’t include his uncle, Prince Andrew. A source exclusively told Rob Shuter that the future king is ensuring the Duke of York doesn’t return to public life and duties. According to the insider, the Prince of Wales views his uncle as “toxic,” which is why the latter is no longer part of the monarchy’s future plans. Previously, the eldest son of King Charles III also decided to exclude his brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle’s, children from the monarchy.
Prince William has made up his mind about Prince Andrew, claims ‘source’
Prince William reportedly wants to have nothing to do with his uncle, Prince Andrew, with regard to the monarchy. According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report, the Prince of Wales is no longer on speaking terms with the Duke of York. He is also blocking all of his uncle’s efforts to return as a working member of the royal family or take up public duties.
A source told the outlet that Prince William sees the duke as “toxic.” They continued, “The door’s not just closed — it’s locked, double-bolted, and guarded.” According to the report, there have been attempts at contact from Prince Andrew’s end. However, the future king is not interested whatsoever. The insider clarified that the Prince of Wales has “already made up his mind,” and that his uncle’s “damage is permanent.”
According to The New York Post, Prince William’s last run-in with his uncle was on Easter Sunday when he made an appearance at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The heir to the throne allegedly avoided any interaction throughout the service. Most recently, Prince Andrew was excluded from royal events like the Garter Day and Trooping the Colour.
Earlier this week, Prince William reportedly cut out Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from the monarchy. A source alleged that the children won’t have “roles, titles, or royal responsibilities” once he becomes king.
