When deckhands Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher first met on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, sparks flew immediately. But at the time, Gael had a boyfriend on another boat and was trying to remain faithful. Before too long, though, for the chemistry between them to become undeniable.
They finished the season as a couple and left the boat together to travel around Europe. But as happens with most Below Deck boatmances, the Australian Sheila and the Irish lad eventually drifted apart.
But the separation didn’t last long, and soon they were back together again. In April, the pair posted a cryptic Instagram video suggesting that they were about to become a party of three. Now that he’s here, they’re proudly sharing photos of their baby boy online.
Below Deck’s Gael and Nathan are home with their “perfect” baby boy
On June 25, the Below Deck Med yachties welcomed their son into the world. Gael shared an update on her Instagram Stories about how she’s adjusting to mom life and what’s next for her and Nathan.
“Hey guys, I just wanted to jump on here real quick and say a massive thank you for all the beautiful words people have been sending,” Gael wrote. “It is day 2 of postpartum, but I think like day 4 of no sleep. So I’m not 100 percent myself yet … I can get discharged tomorrow, so we’re super excited to come to our new home.”
After offering to share her labor and delivery experience with other expecting moms, Gael admitted, “I can’t wait to get back to travel content.” Something tells me their son is going to be quite the adventurer.
Later, the couple shared an Instagram Story taken in the car as they left the hospital with their son, as a new family. “We’re coming home!” they happily captioned the post.
