Jennifer Lopez Faults Ben Affleck for Rumored Mansion Sale Fail, Says ‘Source’

Jennifer Lopez reportedly blames her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, for their rumored failure to sell their Beverly Hills mansion. Earlier reports claimed that the former couple pulled their home from the market after several attempts at selling it throughout the year. However, Lopez isn’t happy with the situation.

According to an insider’s report to Rob Shuter, it is Affleck’s idea of buying the house that is doing her more harm than good financially. Lowering the house’s sale price has also not proven to be of any help, prompting the decision to take it off the real estate scene for the time being.

Jennifer Lopez hated the $60 million mansion from day 1, says ‘source’

It looks like Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, were in disagreement about buying their Beverly Hills home. After sources told TMZ that the former couple had listed their $60 million property off the market, it has reportedly only caused more strain in the singer’s life. According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report, a source revealed that buying the house wasn’t Lopez’s call in the first place.

The insider shared that the singer “hated” the mansion from day one. It was reportedly Affleck’s idea to purchase the lavish mansion as he found it to be “private.” However, the source shared that his ex-wife had a completely different opinion as she believed it was “excessive.”

With no buyer in sight for a year and their ultimate decision to take it off the market, Lopez is allegedly left with higher maintenance costs. The source said, “They’re divorced, but thanks to that mega-mansion, she’s still paying the price.”

Lopez and Affleck reportedly bought the mansion in May 2023. Recently, TMZ revealed that the ex-couple took the home off the market. They are also finding alternative options to deal with the huge property. According to the report, the singer is currently living in the mansion while also remodeling a home she recently purchased.

Sources also told the outlet that the Beverly Hills mansion has become a “white elephant,” making it difficult to sell. The former spouses initially listed the estate for a whopping $68 million but brought it down by $8 million in early May in hopes of a sale.
