Love Island USA’s Nic Vansteenberghe’s Reaction to Cierra Ortega’s Exit Revealed

Season 7 of Love Island USA continues its streak of being one of the messiest shows on television. In the latest episode, Cierra Ortega got kicked out of the villa due to a “personal situation.” Of course, we know the personal situation in question was a bunch of resurfaced social media posts showing her using slurs. Her removal left her partner, Nic Vansteenberghe, single. So, what’s next for him?

Cierra’s exit from Love Island USA couldn’t have come at a worse time. Unlike when Yulissa Escobar left the show for using slurs, this departure will impact the outcome of the show. There are only a few days left in the villa, leaving Nic in a sticky situation. We saw his reaction during Season 7 Episode 30.

“I don’t really know. I think now that my strongest connection has gone, I will figure it out from here,” he told the other guys, adding, “I was not expecting this.”

In the episode, we watched Nic explore his connection with Olandria Carthen. Fans on social media have already branded them NicOlandria, so this might end up working in his favor. Either way, Nic admitted to feeling lost in the aftermath of Cierra’s exit.

“Right before Cierra had left, my mind was clear,” he remarked in a confessional interview. “I knew what the future would look like. And now I’m lost.”

Nic isn’t the only one probably feeling lost right now. When Yulissa got kicked out of the villa, she said the producers didn’t share specifics. She claimed it wasn’t until she got her phone back that she learned of the scandal. Cierra could be in the same boat right now.

With that in mind, Cierra’s parents posted a plea on her Instagram asking for grace. They’ve seen the social media backlash, and they believe Cierra will take accountability once she learns what caused her abrupt exit from the villa.

“We understand why people are upset, and we know accountability matters,” her parents said.

Love Island USA continues every night except Wednesdays, exclusively on Peacock.
