In Season 1 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, reality TV fans were introduced to a wild world of cattle farming, where Steve McBee faced some serious decisions. Which one of his sons should take over the family farm, and how in the world do they plan on keeping it afloat?
Season 2 just premiered, and the stakes are even higher. Steven McBee Jr has taken over for his father, who is facing a 30-year prison sentence thanks to his role in an insurance fraud scheme. It’s a lot of drama, and it’s all taking place in a town you’ve never heard of.
Where is the McBee Dynasty farm?

The farm featured in Bravo series The McBee Dynasty is located in rural Missouri.
Specifically, the family farm is located in a town called Gallatin, Missouri. It’s a tiny town about an hour’s drive away from Kansas City. If you’re looking at a map, this is in the northwest section of the state, closer to the Iowa border.
When we say this city is tiny, we mean it. The last census listed the town’s population at 1,821. Your average high school has more students than this town has residents. However, the city’s website claims they have a pool that you can rent out for $100, which is pretty chic.
Although the McBee Dynasty has put Gallatin on the map for Bravo fans, the town does have a rich history of its own. The region was originally home to Sauk, Meskwaki, and Pottawatomi Native American tribes. Mormon settlers began arriving in the area in the 1800s. Then, an election day clash between the Mormons and other residents served as a key inflection point for the 1838 Mormon War. Wild, right?
These days, the McBees are the biggest drama happening in Gallatin. With an FBI investigation, marital drama, and financial crisis, this family has enough going on for the whole city.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
