When it comes to marriage, it looks like absence makes the heart grow fonder. At least in the case of Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley. Despite rumors about potential divorce circulating while they were in prison, they made it out the other side and it looks like their relationship is going strong. According to them, everything’s peachy.
Despite having been sentenced to prison over fraud charges in 2023, the Chrisleys remained in the media circuit. This is mainly thanks to the efforts of their daughter Savannah Chrisley who worked tirelessly to get them released. And naturally, when you’re in the news, the rumors will follow. One such rumor was that the Chrisley Knows Best pair might be separating.
Is there any truth to the divorce rumors?
But the Chrisley Knows Best couple were quick to deny those rumors after being released from prison thanks to a pardon from the POTUS. On the July 8 episode of Savannah’s Unlocked podcast, the pair made things crystal clear.
“Let me set the record straight,” Julie said. “We are not getting divorced.”
Despite being incarcerated hundreds of miles apart, Todd and Julie, who served their time in Florida and Kentucky respectively, managed to keep their bond strong. Even despite not being to speak on the phone.
“In my mind, I was never away from her,” Todd shared. “I would tell her in emails every day. I said, ‘I’m with you every step you take and feel my love surrounding you at all times.’ When I went to bed at night, she was right there with me. When I woke up and did my prayers, she was right there with me.”
So when they were reunited, he said it was like falling right back into their dynamic with no awkwardness at all.
Julie agreed that physical distance didn’t take away from their emotional connection. “I don’t think there was anything in my mind that we were separate or ever going to be separated,” she shared.
And now, free from behind bars, they’re back to doing what they did without skipping a beat. A host of interviews, a new Lifetime series, and potentially a new hotel business. Looks like not only is their marriage going strong, but the pair are ready to hit the ground running.
