Livvy Dunne Guesses Why She Was Denied Apartment in New York City

Livvy Dunne’s attempts to purchase Babe Ruth’s apartment in New York City fell through, and she recently revealed possible reasons as to why. The gymnast took to TikTok to share that the co-op board denied her bid to buy the legendary baseball star’s one-time flat in NYC.

The 22-year-old claimed that she and her boyfriend visited the unit, and she was ready to pay in cash to secure the property. It would have been her “first real estate purchase.” Unfortunately, her plans didn’t pan out in a huge “upset.”

Livvy Dunne thinks the co-op board didn’t want a ‘public figure’ living in the building

Livvy Dunne claimed she almost got the keys to Babe Ruth’s NYC apartment, but her plans went sideways after the co-op board denied her purchase. She revealed in a recent TikTok video how “upset” and “disappointing” the rejection was. The property could have been her first major “real estate purchase.” The gymnast told her followers that she decided to get her own place in the city. “But the gag was, it was Babe Ruth’s apartment,” she declared.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model shared that she was telling everybody about it and was ready to buy it. “I was going to pay in cash,” she said in the clip, further stressing her desire to purchase the property. Dunne explained that the realtor was “confident” she would secure the apartment and recalled visiting it with her boyfriend, Paul Skenes. She even got an interior designer because she “didn’t want to bring her college furniture,” which would be “criminal.”

Livvy Dunne later revealed that things went south the week she was supposed to get the keys to the property. “I get a call – the co-op board denied me,” she confirmed in the TikTok video. The Louisiana State University graduate explained that the board “voted to not have me live there.” Furthermore, she elaborated that it wasn’t “financial.” She proceeded to guess that the board members could have been Alabama fans, and she went to LSU.

Livvy Dunne appeared clueless about why the co-op board voted against her buying Babe Ruth’s NYC apartment, which reportedly remains on the market. She again guessed that they possibly didn’t want a “public figure” living in the building. However, she believes securing the late Hall of Famer’s one-time home would have been “iconic” and “cool.”
