As per Rob Shuter, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have decided to pause co-parenting their child. A source said, “They tried to do the co-parenting dream — smiley vacations, peaceful dinners — but it’s too soon.” The insider noted that the move “was overly ambitious,” adding, “They’re not there emotionally.” Additionally, they mentioned that the former couple didn’t have happy vibes surrounding them during their recent outing with Daisy at the Cala di Volpe resort.
The insider stated, “There wasn’t a blowup. But the silence was loud. It’s clear they’re not syncing right now.” Another source stated that the former couple’s co-parenting plans are “just not working.” “They’ve decided to split parenting time and stop trying to force a family unit,” they revealed. Nonetheless, the source concluded that Perry and Bloom “still love their daughter. They still care about each other. They added, “But faking it? That chapter’s over.”
The former couple had reportedly parted ways in the previous month. However, the reason behind the separation remains unclear. While confirming the split, their representatives had clarified that the duo’s “shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.” PEOPLE’s report further stated the actor and singer’s love for their daughter was also the motivation for the breakup.
“At a certain point, they had to admit it’s better for Daisy to see their parents separately, then she won’t grow up feeling the tension and animosity,” a source shared. However, they “are there for Daisy and have been.” Their daughter “is their angel, and they want to protect her from anything adverse.” Additionally, the insider mentioned that Bloom and Perry “want to keep a friendly relationship so each can be around her [Daisy] separately or together.”
