According to court documents reviewed by Us Weekly, Cashel has been ordered not to contact his ex, who is also the mother of their 15-month-old daughter. He isn’t allowed to contact her via email, telephone, or social media.

As we previously reported, Cashel was hit with additional charges while locked behind bars. The State of Utah hit him with two charges of aggravated assault. He also received one charge of domestic violence in the presence of a child.

The updated charges stem from his ex-girlfriend’s claims that he sexually assaulted her in a violent outburst in December 2024. She said that Cashel withheld sex from her for months after she asked him to get a job. Allegedly, when she made a sexual advance towards him, he attacked her.

The prosecutors wrote, “The victim reported that on the date of the sexual assault, she attempted to walk away from the defendant, however he grabbed her from behind, pushed her head into the couch, causing her to lose consciousness, then raped her ‘violently.’ [Cashel] then ‘sat her up’, ‘slapped her’ and strangled her again, while their minor daughter was in the room crying and yelling.”

Cashel’s ex also accused him of strangling her in a separate incident on April 10, 2025. She told the cops that she felt like the Love Island alum “tried to kill her.” There’s a fear for her safety, which is why the order of protection is crucial. It’s also why Cashel remains in jail without bond.
