Taylor Swift camped at the hospital with her mother and brother, says ‘source’
Taylor Swift reportedly chose to prioritize her family when her father, Scott Swift, went through a health scare. According to Rob Shuter‘s exclusive report, a family friend revealed that the singer “camped out” at the hospital as her dad underwent quintuple bypass surgery. She was accompanied by her mother, Andrea, and brother Justin.
On July 16, Taylor’s representative confirmed to TMZ that Scott had to go under the knife for a heart procedure. He reportedly underwent the surgery over a month ago and is recovering with his family by his side. The rep also confirmed that the operation wasn’t the result of a heart attack but due to a few “urgent blockages.”
A friend told #ShuterScoop that Scott‘s health scare was “terrifying,” but the family “caught it in time.” According to TMZ’s report, the 73-year-old went for a routine check-up with his wife when the doctors sensed something was wrong, eventually leading to the quintuple bypass surgery. Fortunately, he is reportedly already on the road to recovery.
Taylor’s inner circle told the outlet that the “Cruel Summer” singer has immersed herself in daughter mode after getting to know of her dad’s health scare. The source said that for the Grammy winner, “family always comes first.”
Since completing her The Eras Tour in December, the singer has spent quality time with Travis Kelce in public and away from the spotlight. In May, she announced ownership of her masters after purchasing the recordings from Shamrock Capital.
