The Goldens have arrived on Bachelor in Paradise, and they’re wasting zero time getting down to business. During last week’s episode, we saw Kathy Swarts turn up the heat after taking Keith Gordon to the VIP suite for champagne and strawberries, and apparently, their connection started before they even arrived on the shores of Costa Rica.

On the show, Kathy explained that she had previously met Keith when she had him as a guest on her Golden Hour podcast. However, they didn’t really get a chance to connect during that conversation. In a conversation with Us Weekly, Kathy explained how sparks started flying during their boat ride to paradise.
“My goal was to strategically pick a place on that catamaran where I could eyeball each and every guy, make sure they were eyeballing me,” Kathy shared.
“That’s when I had my eyes on Keith and CK,” Kathy said. “What is it? Shoot your shot? Yes, I heard that a million times. Don’t waste time. Get to work.”
And she got to work! The two went to the VIP suite and enjoyed some romantic time in the hot tub. She fed him strawberries. They drank champagne. Some of the younger cast members could take some lessons from Kathy because she clearly knows what she’s doing here.
“Keith is this great guy who I had met before. He’d been on my podcast. I’m sure you remember, he raised three daughters on his own. He has this way about him, this kindness, this balance of humor and emotional IQ,” Kathy explained.
She continued, “He’s just a great guy, and I thought, you know what, let’s see if there’s something else there. Give him a little champagne, a little sit down in a hot tub, and let’s see where it goes.”
