Charli XCX Planning Second ‘Star-Studded’ Wedding in Italy, ‘Source’ Claims

It seems like the wedding celebrations for newlyweds Charli XCX and George Daniel are not yet over. The couple is reportedly planning for a “star-studded” second wedding in Sicily, Italy, after saying “I do” in a “low-key” ceremony in London this weekend. According to the source, the newlyweds are gearing up for their next “big event,” which will be an “epic” celebration with many A-listers in attendance.

Charli XCX and her husband, George Daniel, are over the moon after marrying in London on July 19. The couple tied the knot at Hackney Town Hall. Charli’s parents and Daniel’s bandmates were among the few people present at their intimate wedding ceremony. However, after their “special and personal, but not over-the-top” ceremony on the weekend, the couple is now looking forward to their second grand wedding ceremony in Italy.

As per PEOPLE‘s source, the British singer and The 1975 drummer “have a larger celebration planned for Sicily.” The insider further shared, “They’ve always dreamed of a big party in Italy. Somewhere beautiful and private, where all their friends can let loose.” Revealing more details about the event, the source added that Italy’s event “will be star-studded.” “This was always the plan,” the individual said. “London was the official wedding, but a big event is happening too and it will be epic.”

A source had earlier told The Sun that the couple “love Italy and it holds a special place in their hearts.” While talking about her wedding plans, even the 32-year-old songwriter revealed last year that they want to “have a party” with their friends, and that’s the only thing they are “aiming for wedding-wise.” Many A-listers like Daniel’s bandmates, including Matty Healy, singers and collaborators Troye Sivan and Robyn, along with many other stars, are expected to join the couple in their Italian wedding celebration.

The “Apple” singer and the drummer first connected in 2021. In the following years, Charli worked together with Daniel’s band on songs like “Spinning” and “i might say something stupid.” It was in 2022 when she confirmed her relationship with the band member in a now-deleted Instagram post. A year later, the Grammy Award winner announced her engagement to Daniel on the same social media platform.
