Katy Perry is reportedly overwhelmed and exhausted with her professional and personal life. A source exclusively told Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop that the pop star’s breakup with her ex-fiancé, Orlando Bloom, and her demanding The Lifetimes Tour are taking a toll on her. According to the insider, the singer is desperately hoping for her concerts to end, following which she might step out of the public eye permanently.
Katy Perry is ‘physically and emotionally drained,’ says ‘source’
Katy Perry’s life hasn’t been the easiest, especially over the past couple of months. Amid her busy The Lifetimes Tour, the singer is also reeling from her split with Orlando Bloom. According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report, it is getting too much for her. The report comes after she suffered a prop malfunction at one of her concerts a few days ago.
Perry was performing at the Chase Center in San Francisco on July 18 when she escaped a major accident. While singing her hit number “Roar” and flying around on top of a large butterfly stage prop, she nearly fell mid-air after the prop malfunctioned. The pop star clung tight to the ropes before regaining her composure and continuing with her show.
Although Perry handled the malfunction like a pro, a fan told #ShuterScoop that this incident wasn’t a “stunt.” According to the insider, the singer “screamed” and was “terrified” after she almost lost her balance. However, this isn’t the only bizarre moment that the star encountered during her tour. During her Sydney concert last month, a fan abruptly joined her on stage, catching her off guard.
Meanwhile, her breakup with Bloom has reportedly also been a major reason for Perry’s exhaustion and stress. The source revealed that the Grammy winner is “physically and emotionally drained.” The insider further said that she wants to “permanently” move away from this “rollercoaster” of a life. The source also added that Perry wishes to lay on the down-low after her breakup and the tour. They said, “She doesn’t want another encore. She wants peace.”
Perry’s The Lifetimes Tour is reportedly scheduled to end in December. Earlier this month, she and Bloom confirmed their split, expressing their desire to focus on co-parenting their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
