Does anyone else remember that Bravo show, Thicker Than Water? It followed the life of former gospel musician Ben Tankard and his family. They called themselves the Black Brady Bunch, and the show aired three seasons between 2023 and 2016. We haven’t heard much from the family over the last few years, until now.
Diamond Tankard, who was 10 years old when the show premiered, has been arrested over an alleged rock-filled sock attack. It’s a wild story, and the whole thing went down inside a Walmart.
Thicker Than Water star Diamond Tankard was charged with aggravated assault and theft
Diamond is now 21, and according to a report from People, she was arrested on Friday, July 18, in Nashville, Tennessee. The cops charged her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in addition to theft over $1,000.
Per the police report, Diamond pulled up on a woman who was at the self-checkout with her grandmother. She allegedly grabbed her by her hair and started hitting her with a sock filled with rocks. After the attack, Diamond took the girl’s iPhone and a Louis Vuitton handbag, worth a total of $2,400.
The attack left the victim with a cut on her eye, which required stitches. Since this all happened at a Walmart self-checkout, the whole thing got captured on security cameras. Other Walmart shoppers also filmed the assault and shared it on social media.
Thus, Diamond landed in jail but was quickly released on a $25,000 bond. She has a court date on August 22 to determine next steps, but she could very well face a serious punishment because this wasn’t her first brush with the law.
In December 2024, Diamond was charged with attempted felony murder after intentionally hitting someone with her car. At the time of that incident, she was wearing an ankle monitor related to another assault-related arrest. Is anyone else sensing a pattern here?
