Surge in Coldplay Ticket Prices After Viral CEO Moment, Claims ‘Source’

Coldplay‘s demand is reportedly on the increase since the viral kiss cam moment involving Astronomer CEO Andy Byron. A source exclusively told Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop that it’s been almost impossible to get tickets to upcoming concerts, which has seemingly been a direct consequence of the incident. According to the insider, ticket prices for Coldplay concerts have also been skyrocketing on resale sites. Everything from accessibility to affordability seems to have lost its meaning about the band’s concert, given how eager fans are not to miss out on the next viral moment.

Coldplay concerts have become ‘live soap operas,’ says ‘source’

For the longest time, Coldplay concerts will remind everyone of the viral kiss cam moment that captured Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and a woman embracing on the jumbotron. According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report, tickets for the upcoming Music of the Spheres World Tour concert are close to impossible to find. A source hinted that the incident has only benefited the band’s brand name and finances.

The music industry insider claimed that although tickets had been selling well even before the viral moment, the demand has only increased with time. It comes as no surprise, given how fast the jumbotron video spread on the internet. The insider also claimed that the situation is now chaotic. They said, “Coldplay is the new Beyoncé. Everyone wants in.”

During Coldplay’s Massachusetts concert last week, the kiss cam captured CEO Byron embracing a woman. As soon as they realized they were being featured on the jumbotron, the duo tried hiding from the camera. The CEO ducked down to avoid being in the frame while the woman turned her back, appearing to hide her face.

As videos of this interaction went viral, users claimed that Byron was a married man. As of this writing, the Astronomer CEO and the woman are yet to publicly come out with a statement. The company recently announced that Byron had resigned from his post since the incident.

Meanwhile, fans are reportedly eager to get their hands on the ticket prices for upcoming concerts as soon as possible. The insider told #ShuterScoop that they have been asking for extra dates. Furthermore, resale sites are allegedly offering tickets at skyrocketing prices due to the demand. The source explained that they weren’t just plain concerts anymore but have become “live soap operas.”

Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour is scheduled to end in September.
