With Bruce Willis’ health declining, his ex-wife, Demi Moore, wants the former actor to get an Oscar. A source told Globe that “The Substance” star has “been waging a shadow campaign for the Oscars to recognize Bruce with an honorary award while he can still stand up and accept it.”

Moore is not the only one who wants the prestigious award for the former action star. According to the insider, their daughters also feel the same. The actor and Willis’ daughters believe in the significance of the action star’s “contribution to modern cinema” and that he is “overdue.” After this year’s Oscar miss, the family is under immense pressure “to do something for him sooner rather than later.”

The source further revealed that the 62-year-old actor has “made getting Bruce an honorary Oscar her mission.” Although the mom of three realizes that “the Academy is a huge organization with its own agenda,” Moore reportedly endeavors to make sure they do not “forget about Bruce and his legacy!” To celebrate her former husband’s achievements and life, Moore and the daughters even showered love on the family man by celebrating his 70th birthday in March.

The “Die Hard” star decided to step away from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia. It is a language disorder that affects one’s ability to communicate. A year later, it was revealed that the former actor’s condition progressed to frontotemporal dementia (FTD), making things slightly more difficult for the icon.

However, according to the latest reports, Willis’ condition has deteriorated further. He has now become mostly non-verbal. The former actor has problems with reading and written communication, which is affecting his daily function and quality of life.
