In the last season of Top Chef, the competition went north for a Canadian culinary experience. Bravo just announced Season 23 of Top Chef is coming back to the United States. They’re heading to the Carolinas, and we’ve got everything you need to know.
Top Chef is headed to the Carolinas for Season 23
According to a press release from Bravo, Top Chef Season 23 will center around the “emerging and verse culinary hub” of Charlotte, North Carolina, with some episodes taking place in Greenville, South Carolina. Kristen Kish will return to host, along with Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons returning as judges.
So, what is it about the Carolinas that got the Top Chef team excited? According to Bravo, it was the region’s rich history and connection to agriculture. Local ingredients and Southern hospitality will be on full display. In a statement, Heath Dillard, CEO & President of VisitGreenvilleSC, said their community feels excited to get a chance to shine.
“We’ve long known that Greenville’s food scene could hold its own on a national stage,” Heath said. “Hosting Top Chef here is both validation and a celebration. We’re thrilled to see our culinary community in the spotlight.”

The news of Top Chef Season 23 arrives a week after Season 22 earned another round of Emmy nominations. This is their nineteenth year in a row receiving nominations. Kristen is nominated for Outstanding Reality or Reality Competition Series, Outstanding Host For A Reality or Competition Program, and Outstanding Directing For A Structured Reality or Competition Program.
Top Chef is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
