WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan’s first wife, Linda Hogan, is having a hard time accepting his sudden death last week. In fact, she admitted that she was “melting down” following his passing.
“I had no idea he would pass away this soon,” Linda wrote in the comments section of her July 19 Instagram post, underneath a photo of her with her ex. “We all really thought he would make a come back!”
Even though they divorced in 2009 following 26 years of marriage, Linda claimed she never “got over him.” She and her whole family are “devastated” by his loss, which is “hitting me so hard.”
Linda Hogan, ex-wife to Hulk Hogan, broke her silence on his death

Linda was married to “The Hulkster,” whose legal name was Terry Bollea, from 1983 to 2009. They share two children together: daughter Brooke Hogan, 37, and son Nick Hogan, 35.
“I’ve known him since he was 28 yrs old!” the Hogan Knows Best alum continued. “I was 22. I still love him.”
Even though she never saw or spoke to her ex-husband, her son Nick remained close to his dad and kept her informed about his life.
“Although broken … we still were a family. It’s so hard to know he’s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick … but I’m melting down now. It’s very sad. I love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP.”
On July 24, the WWE wrestler died suddenly of a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Apparently, the 71-year-old was aware that his heart was deteriorating, according to a source close to his family.
“He was suffering from shortness of breath, got tired easily, had lost a lot of weight and was on oxygen,” the insider told the Daily Mail.
Realizing that his health was declining, Hulk spent his final days trying to mend relationships with his loved ones, especially his estranged daughter Brooke.
“He had a lot of scores to settle,” another source added. “[He] didn’t want to leave anything unsaid … There was a little strain with his daughter and their relationship that had taken quite the emotional toll, but he always thought he would eventually be able to rectify that.”
The six-time WWE Champion is survived by his third wife, Sky Daily, and his two adult children.
