West Wilson and Paige DeSorbo didn’t share many seasons on Summer House, but they clicked right away. He joined the cast in Season 8, while she’d been holding court in the Hamptons since Season 3.
Now that Paige has exited the show, West admits her leaving has left a noticeable gap.
In a recent podcast episode, he opened up about what it’s been like filming without her and why her absence is hitting him harder than expected.
Paige DeSorbo won’t return to Summer House
“It sucks,” West said about filming without Paige on the July 30 episode of his and Sophie Cunningham’s Show Me Something podcast.
West explained that the biggest shift for him has been the lack of someone who shares his exact sense of humor. “I think our senses of humor were the same,” West said, adding, “If I made a joke … she would laugh first.”
He went on to say, “So that part [is] always tough.”
Still, he reassured listeners that there’s no bad blood between them off-camera. “She’s great,” West said.
Paige joined Summer House in 2019 and spent seven seasons delivering iconic one-liners, cozying up in stylish loungewear, and creating memorable moments with castmates like Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula. Fans were shocked when she announced her departure from the show on June 5.
“Being a part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life – the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable,” Paige wrote on Instagram. “But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”
On her Giggly Squad podcast, Paige later said she “gave all I could give” to the show before stepping away. She made the decision a few months after splitting from Southern Charm’s Craig Conover in late 2024.
Since then, she has focused on her new sleepwear line, her podcast, and a low-key romance with Joe D’Amelio.
Although Paige isn’t in the Hamptons this summer, her former co-star/Season 1 veteran Lindsay Hubbard hinted that a girls’ spinoff might still be on the horizon.
Bravo hasn’t announced a premiere date for Season 10 yet. West will return with Jesse Solomon, Lindsay, Carl Radke, Kyle Cooke, Amanda, and Ciara. Still, as West made clear, it just doesn’t hit the same without Paige.
