Ellen DeGeneres taken aback by new claims that her staff were ‘scared to death,’ say sources
Rob Shuter #ShuterScoop learned about Ellen DeGeneres’ reaction to new claims, asserting her talk show staff were afraid of her. A source alleged that the former host of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” was “shocked” by the explosive new revelations. Moreover, DeGeneres “had no idea” the crew felt that way. She drew flak again after comedian Adam Carolla, who had made guest appearances on her once-popular talk show, made these allegations.
Carolla appeared on “After Party with Emily Jashinsky” and opened up about his experience on DeGeneres’ former show. He reportedly recalled his conversation with the segment producer before his on-air chat. The comedian alleged that the producer checked in with him to ensure he would stay within the bounds of their pre-approved discussion points. The staffer wanted to make sure he didn’t talk about topics involving meat, as the host was vegan at the time.
Adam Carolla further alleged that’s how he realized Ellen DeGeneres’ staff members were “scared to death.” He continued that the people working on her show’s set “were scared — real scared.” In 2022, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” aired its final episode amid viewership concerns and allegations of a toxic work environment. She later addressed the accusations in her Netflix special, “For Your Approval.”
Reportedly, DeGeneres has since moved to the U.K. with her wife, Portia de Rossi. The couple currently resides in the Cotswolds.
