New details have emerged about Love Island USA’s JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez’s breakup
On Tuesday, July 29, JaNa broke her silence and told fans she and Kenny are O.V.E.R.
“Thank you for all your love & support. It means the world to me. As you know, Kenny and I [are] no longer together,” she wrote in an Instagram story post. “Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is. Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.”
Shortly after JaNa shared her post, Kenny released his own statement.
“The past few days have been incredibly difficult. I’ve been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately,” he began. “Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye … Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term.”
Kenny’s post angered many of his Love Island co-stars who felt he was pushing a dishonest narrative about the split.

JaNa has remained pretty tight-lipped about the gritty details of the split, but her best friend is spilling the tea. She shared a statement on Instagram, warning women in relationships to stay vigilant.
“My advice for women in relationships,” she began. “If you have access-go [through] your man’s phone TODAY. Search keywords like, ‘I don’t like black women, I’m faking this relationship, I thought I would get more money from this, I’m faking this relationship, going on the show would be for clout, I can’t wait to be done [with] this so I can f*ck hella b*tches.”
She continued, “P.S- Never spare a man … Dog them out babygirl.”
Shortly after, she shared another post that read, “I don’t play about JaNa,” which the Love Island star reposted.
Kenny has not publicly responded to the friend’s claim.

After Kenny shared his breakup post, JaNa took to Instagram to tell fans Kenny is a “liar.”
“@Kennyrodriguez stfu you manipulative liar,” she began. “You are not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you are really are is insane to me!! My first statement was me being nice.”
JaNa’s Season 6 girl squad showed their support on social media, calling Kenny out for not being truthful.
“@Kennyrodriguez is a poor excuse of a man,” Kaylor Martin wrote. “You lost the most beautiful, genuine soul. Shame on you.”
Leah Kateb also had some strong words for her fellow islander.
“@Kennyrodriguez put a sock in it ChatGPT heada*s,” she wrote. “Tell the truth for once! Racist, clout/money-hungry and a scammer since DAY 1!!!!”
Fans felt Leah’s statement added validity to JaNa’s friend’s claim that she found racist messages on Kenny’s phone.
Kenny’s alleged former college fling speaks out
Shortly after Kenny and JaNa’s split became public, an alleged former fling of Kenny’s came forward on TikTok. The woman, who claims she was in a “situationship” with Kenny in college, shared her experience with the Love Island star, telling viewers he cannot be faithful.
“There were times that we were actually pretty close. After winter break, we decided to make things exclusive,” she shared. “I thought I had won the situationship olympics … I thought I really changed him, you know? No, because when we supposed to be exclusive, he continues to ghost me and then be seen f*cking around with other b*tches.”
She also claimed Kenny routinely criticized her, saying he put down her career ambitions and didn’t like when she wore makeup.
