Just when you thought you’d seen it all! The Chrisleys: Back to Reality trailer dropped and gave us all a peek at Todd Chrisley flirting with Julie Chrisley. Right in front of our salads!
The trailer is for the much-awaited Lifetime reality series featuring the Chrisleys and their full story from reality fame to prison to life in lockup. Admittedly, the earlier part of their story will likely only be shown for context. It appears that the series will focus on their lives now after being released. And if the trailer is any indication, it looks like they are picking up right where they left off.

The five minute trailer opens with Savannah receiving a phone call from her father Todd while in prison. He jokingly asks her if there is a “possibility I could get out of here before I need a face lift?”
The trailer went on to introduce the Chrisleys as the “picture perfect” family. They showed clips of Savannah and Chase talking about their experiences during Chrisley Knows Best. And everything was looking hunky dory (to borrow from Kathy Hilton).
But then it shows that they were also fighting the case against them for fraud and tax evasion. Everyone knows how that worked out. A jury convicted Todd and Julie and sent them to prison, while Savannah worked tirelessly to secure a presidential pardon and their release.
The trailer also hints about the show delving more into the family dynamic during this time, the betrayals, and just the kids’ struggles during their parents’ incarceration.
Eventually, authorities released Todd and Julie, and the trailer cuts to the family reuniting (with plenty of shots of Julie’s darker hair). It was all very emotional and hints that things aren’t going to be the same as they were before.
Between all the dramatic cuts were moments of levity, including Todd flirting with a brunette Julie on the night of their release. “I’ve never been with a dark-headed woman,” Todd said jokingly to Julie as he held her hand. “But I’m willing to try it tonight.”
She smacked his arm and laughed saying, “Get away from me.” It looks like he only had a little while to enjoy Julie’s dark locks before she went back to her signature blonde.
The Chrisleys: Back to Reality premieres on Lifetime later this year. In the meantime, Chrisley Knows Best is streaming on Peacock.
