In the early 2000s, Brooke Hogan and her dad, Hulk Hogan, gave the world a front-row seat to their family life on Hogan Knows Best. However, their off-camera relationship has been complicated ever since.
When Hulk died late last month, Brooke skipped the funeral – she says he never wanted one – but, fans immediately took sides. Some accused her of being cold. Others defended her, saying the family history explains everything.
Now, Brooke is speaking up and pushing back on what she calls a flood of lies.
Brooke Hogan doesn’t trust many people who were close to her father Hulk
In a new TMZ interview, Brooke explained why she skipped Hulk’s funeral and detailed the tension between them. It’s worth noting that she criticized both of her parents, mentioning mental and physical abuse during her childhood just a few months ago.
Since Hulk’s passing, Brooke claims people in her dad’s circle keep spreading lies about her, including stories that she ignored him, returned his gifts, and ditched the funeral.
Brooke says the same people pushing those stories depended on Hulk financially and now fear what she might reveal. She believes they’re scrambling to protect themselves.
“Folks who relied on Hulk for their paycheck are worried that their golden goose is gone and afraid of what Brooke knows,” she said.
Brooke explained that she and Hulk still loved each other and that he confided in her before marrying Sky Daily. However, she never trusted many of the people around him. She asked to be removed from Hulk’s will to avoid the family fighting she knew was coming. Still, she says the drama found her anyway and called it a “sh*tshow.”
Brooke – a mom and business owner – says the nonstop rumors are wrecking her. She hasn’t eaten or slept in weeks and feels drained from having to shut down lies over and over. What stings most is getting dragged for missing a funeral her father never even wanted.
She wants peace and to remember her dad in private. But, if the false claims continue, she plans to take legal action.
Ultimately, Brooke made one thing very clear: she’s poised and ready to take on anyone who keeps coming for her.
