How Internet reacted to Frida’s breast-milk flavored icecream

Parenting brand Frida has partnered with ice cream company OddFellows to debut a surprising limited-edition ice cream flavor inspired by breast milk. Although the product does not contain real human breast milk, the companies emphasize that it was created to mimic the real flavor. Featuring similar ingredients, it is described as “just like mom used to make.”

This unique dessert first launched earlier in the year and quickly went viral, prompting a wider national rollout. Now available for purchase online, the breast milk-inspired pint is priced at $12.99, with a minimum requirement of two pints per order. The ice cream ships nationwide in the U.S. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) in insulated packaging with dry ice to maintain freshness.

The flavor will also be available in person at OddFellows’ pop-up shop in Brooklyn’s Dumbo neighborhood from August 5 through August 10.

According to Frida, the ice cream has a distinct profile described as “sweet, a little salty, with hints of honey and a dash of colostrum.” The ice cream is even tinted yellow to reflect the theme. The brand even claims the taste comes “pretty close to the real deal.”

Reactions online were divided, as many expressed discomfort over the unusual flavor choice. One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “For sure, this is not real milk from a human. That would be completely unsanitary and just disgusting on all levels.” Another commented, “How did they get the breast milk and is this safe for consumption?”

A few even joked that the brand should team up with Sydney Sweeney for a future collaboration. One user wrote, “Sydney Sweeney flavour soon?”
