Jason Kelce Reveals His Thoughts on Being a ‘Hall of Famer’

Jason Kelce remains unconvinced that he belongs in the Hall of Fame. The former Eagles star dropped this unexpected admission during a recent podcast appearance, sparking much discourse and debate among fans.

Check out what he said below.

What did Jason Kelce say about being ‘Hall of Famer’?

During a recent appearance on the Exciting Mics podcast, Jason Kelce made a humble admission regarding his potential status as a Hall of Famer.

Speaking with the hosts, Philadelphia Eagles’ Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship, Kelce shared how he doesn’t think he is a Hall of Famer. “It will be weird to be honest with you. And I think it’s weird because I don’t even think I’m the best player that I’ve played with in the NFL. Even on the offensive line. Jason Peters, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, they’re all better players than I ever was,” he admitted.

The former Eagles star went on to explain how his Eagles team contributed to much of his success. “I think I was very good at center, but I was a scheme-specific guy. And when I think of Hall of Famer players, I think of people that, this is a guy that was so good that no matter what team, who he played with, wherever he was at, he was going to be one of the best players of all time. And I just don’t think that was the case for me,” shared Kelce.

Many fans, of course, strongly disagree with Kelce’s sentiment, as he remains one of the greatest centers in NFL history. He was a seminal presence in leading the Eagles to their 2017 season’s Super Bowl victory. Additionally, he is also a seven-time Pro Bowler and a six-time first-team All-Pro. Thus, many argue that Kelce deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame, regardless of whether he believes it or not.
