Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had a playful response when asked what stories he might tell at a hypothetical wedding between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

Speaking on Kansas City sports radio’s 96.5 The Fan with Fescoe and Dusty, Reid laughed and said, “Well there are a few I can’t tell.” He then shifted to Kelce’s generosity off the field. The coach said, “He’s done so many good things, all the things he’s done off the field that people don’t know about, just helping people out.” He highlighted the tight end’s many quiet acts of kindness, saying his “big heart” is what he values most.

Reid also revealed that his connection to Swift goes back further than Kelce’s. Growing up in Pennsylvania, his family became acquainted with Swift’s parents, Andrea and Scott, over their shared love of football. He said, “My family has been a big fan of hers, and we know her father and mother… from the Philadelphia area, Pennsylvania.”

Talking about Swift’s rise to the global stardom, Reid also said, “She sure handles it the right way and that’s the part I appreciate the most.” While he declined to name a favorite Taylor Swift song, Reid admitted he owns her 2012 album Red.

Talking about the spotlight her relationship with Kelce has brought to football, Reid said, “I think it’s great. Obviously, women and girls are looking at the game a little bit more.” He also added, “Not that it was all tied into [Swift], but she had a big part of that. And the NFL has bought into that, too, they’ve been supporting that. I think it’s a beautiful thing all around.”
