Bachelor Nation has proven that it has just as many bad apples and it does good ones. Bachelorette star Katie Thurston is highlighting one bad apple from her season, Cody Menk, after the former contestant made a dig at her on social media. Katie is proving that she can dish it right back, and isn’t afraid to do so.
Katie is no stranger to reality TV dating shows. She’s been looking for love in all the wrong places and between the Bachelor shows and FBoy Island, she decided to look for love in private. It turns out it was the right move and she found it with comedian Jeff Arcuri.

That’s where Cody comes in. Katie posted a photo of her and Jeff on their wedding day all smiles and looking very much in love. Instead of taking the high road and simply congratulating her (or saying nothing at all), Cody took the lowest road and commented, “Good couple, both solid 5s.” He then added the laughing emoji.
Katie wasn’t about to let that slide. She shared a screenshot of a photo of Cody from the 2021 run of The Bachelorette and the offending comment on her Instagram Story, and she didn’t spare the shade!
“Remember this guy from my season? Me either,” Katie quipped. “But he’s still here lurking on my page. Thanks for being a fan!” She added a kiss emoji as the perfect end to her sweet-and-salty comeback.
To jog your memory, Katie eliminated Cody just two weeks into the season over concerns that he joined the show for fame and not for love. He hasn’t replied to Katie’s story and it appears he removed his original comment.
As for Katie, she shouldn’t be bothered. She’s dealing with far too much to worry about someone like Cody. In March, Katie announced her breast cancer diagnosis. She previously underwent a lumpectomy when she was younger. Now, she is battling stage IV breast cancer with her supportive husband by her side.
