Okay, they definitely planned this right? Austin Butler and Matthew McConaughey showed up at a screening for the upcoming film, Caught Stealing, wearing nearly identical outfits. The cute moment happened in Austin, Texas, at an Alamo Drafthouse screening, and we’re kind of obsessed.
Austin Butler and Matthew McConaughey served us blue and white on the red carpet

In all seriousness, Austin and Matthew could have been mistaken for a father-son duo at this screening. Although they opted for similar color palettes, the duo did style their looks slightly differently.
Austin opted for high-waisted, denim-color pants and black shoes. It was a more youthful silhouette, or maybe he still has a little bit of Elvis living in him. You never know.
Meanwhile, Matthew wore a two-piece suit with white pinstripes. He left the coat open, showing off a white shirt and a gold chain. It’s a look he’s probably had in his closet for no fewer than 10 years. We’re not mad at it.
Caught Stealing officially hits theaters later this month. Based on the Charlie Huston novel and directed by Darren Aronofsky, the action-comedy follows Hank Thompson (Austin), a former baseball player who accidentally gets caught up in a tangled web of dangerous gangsters. Also starring Zoë Kravitz and Bad Bunny, it’s definitely the type of movie that demands a bucket of popcorn twice the size of your head.
As far as we know, Matthew isn’t in this movie. He just showed up in his hometown of Austin to support his fellow actor, Austin. The duo posed for photos on the red carpet, and Matthew also moderated a Q&A with Austin and Darren. It’s the type of night that would only happen in Austin, Texas. You’ve got to love it.
Caught Stealing hits theaters on August 29.
