The “False God” singer recently made an appearance on the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce.
In the episode, Taylor Swift made several interesting revelations throughout, including her take on football. It seems that she was completely clueless about the sport till she met Travis Kelce, one of the most prominent football players right now.
“On our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and he looked across the field, across the line of scrimmage, and saw his brother standing on the other, like, five feet in front of him on the field,” Swift said to Jason. She continued, “He didn’t even look at me…He was like, ‘Actually, I’m on the offense. And my brother is on the offense. I’m only on the field at the same time as the defense.”
The Grammy winner admitted, “I thought everyone was on the field at the same time.” She used to think quarterbacks from both teams go head-to-head on the pitch each time. The singer added, “I’ve got some ideas. I’ve got some thoughts… I didn’t know what a first down was. I didn’t know what the chains were. I didn’t know what a tight end was.”
However, things reportedly changed when Taylor Swift started dating Travis Kelce. She learned practically everything about football since then and sufficiently enjoys it now. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end even thanked her for diving so “wholeheartedly” into the sport.
“Oh my god. I fell in love with it,” Swift responded. “I became obsessed with it. I became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!’ And my friends are like, ‘Who body snatched you?'”
Thus, it seems Taylor Swift has learnt all about football now, with her regularly spotted attending Travis Kelce’s games.
