Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift Have Endured Similar Physical ‘Torture’

When it comes to pushing their bodies to the limit, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift surprisingly have a lot in common. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the global pop superstar recently revealed that their professions—though wildly different—both demand intense physical recovery that can border on torture.

Travis Kelce talks about physical therapy after Eras tour

During her debut interview on the New Heights podcast, Taylor Swift opened up about the grueling demands of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

She compared her post-show recovery to Kelce’s NFL season, saying, “It was a lot of physical therapy, and it was a lot of being in a state of perpetual physical discomfort.” While she doesn’t face 300-pound defenders on the field, she joked that her high heels are their own form of punishment.

Kelce recalled being shocked when he saw Swift’s hotel room recovery setup, complete with toe spacers and an acupuncture mat. “The similarities were crazy,” he admitted. “I was like, ‘Oh my Gosh. She does more than I do.’” Swift explained that they often compare “physical therapy stories,” and Kelce agreed, “related on how much torture we’ve put our bodies through.”

In the same conversation, Swift became visibly emotional while recounting how she finally acquired her master recordings. After years of failed attempts, she bought her entire music catalog outright from Shamrock Capital earlier this year. The moment was so overwhelming that she “hit the floor” and cried when she got the call from her mom confirming the news.

Later, she announced the release date of her upcoming new album titled The Life of a Showgirl. The album will be released on October 3, 2025. With that, coupled with workout war stories to personal moments, over a million people tuned in to YouTube, making it one of the most-watched episodes.
