Latest reports indicate that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s post-breakup dynamic has become “strained” amid Perry’s dating rumors with Justin Trudeau. The singer and the actor ended their years-long engagement a little over a month ago. Since then, the two have begun navigating their separate dating lives.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s relationship strained due to Justin Trudeau rumors, says source
In Entertainment Tonight’s recent segment on the rumor mill surrounding Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau, the outlet reported tensions with Perry’s former fiancé, Orlando Bloom. The report referenced clips published by TMZ showing Perry and Trudeau together at a famous restaurant in Montreal. However, ET characterized the new connection as exploratory rather than committed.
A source told ET, “Justin is charismatic and has great energy, which is exactly what Katy wants and needs at the moment.” They added, “For now, things are just casual.” The segment also framed the current scenario as open-ended, with a nod that anything was possible.
Meanwhile, Bloom has reportedly been meeting other people. Still, the former couple’s rapport has not fully settled. Per the outlet’s source, things between them “still aren’t great.” Moreover, the source added, “Their relationship is a bit awkward and strained.”
Despite the tension, however, both Perry and Bloom remain aligned on parenting their almost five-year-old daughter, Daisy. Perry has previously stated how she loves “being a mom,” and how “It’s the best decision I’ve ever made for my life.” Bloom spoke separately, emphasizing his focus on family: “I think my level of compassion being a father, you know, you kind of have a new sense of responsibility.”
As of now, ET reported that the Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau chatter remains at the rumor stage. Even so, Perry’s bond with Orlando Bloom has seemingly been “strained” over the rumors. Despite everything, the former couple said while separating, how they intended to continue appearing together as they co-parented Daisy with love and mutual respect.
