Prince William & Kate Middleton’s House Relocation Inconveniences Ordinary Families — Report

Prince William and Kate Middleton will soon relocate to a new house by the end of this year. However, it seems their move is already drawing negative attention. According to sources, families from nearby cottages are being forced to “move out.” The step comes after the royal family reportedly does not want to live next to “any Tom, Dick or Harry.”

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children will soon be moving to a 300-year-old house, Forest Lodge, later this year. The Prince of Wales even plans to stay in the same home after becoming the king. However, following their decision, two separate families staying near Forest Lodge were asked to vacate their cottages.

A source told Daily Mail that the “surprised” tenants “were told to move out” earlier this summer as their houses were “very close” to the royals’ Grade II-listed property. Although “they were given somewhere else” at the 4,800-acre Windsor Great Park, the commoners were “not expecting” such treatment from the royals. The insider further added that the bold step was taken as the royals don’t “want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ new $21 million “forever home” is an upgrade from their current four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage. Their new eight-bedroom mansion comprises of chandelier-lit ballroom, Venetian windows, extensive grounds, and a tennis court. Additionally, Forest Lodge is just a few miles away from Lambrook School. It is the same school where their kids – George, Charlotte, and Louis – study.

With the shift, the royals are hoping for a “fresh start” and a new chapter. As per the source, the move is also “an opportunity” for the couple “to leave some of their more unhappy memories behind them.” Moreover, the family is said to be bearing their expenses with no extra cost to taxpayers. Insiders have even claimed that William and Kate don’t plan to keep any live-in staff.
