Austin Butler set Instagram alight this morning after posting some rather crowd-pleasing shirtless photos. The actor clearly has no qualms about showing off his sculpted physique – and the people aren’t mad about it.

In the shots, the actor can be seen expertly wrapping his hands before pounding a punch bag. He has previously spoken about his enthusiasm for boxing as an alternative to the gym. His technique may still need a bit of work, though. His Masters of the Air co-star Barry Keoghan recently said in an interview with Extra that he taught Austin how box, and joked the actor “couldn’t throw a punch” at the beginning of filming.
He may be no Muhammad Ali, but he’s definitely nailed the artistic thirst trap. The series of black and white images also includes a shot of the Dune star riding a vintage motorbike. James Dean eat your heart out. The photos sparked marriage proposals in the comments, although it’s fair to say Austin doesn’t need any help in that department. He has been romantically linked to a series of beautiful and successful women, including Vanessa Hudgens, Olivia DeJonge and, most recently, Kaia Gerber, whom he dated for around three years. The pair are believed to have called it quits late last year.
The actor is currently hard at work, with an impressive eight upcoming movie roles. His latest role is in dark comedy Caught Stealing. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, the movie is set to be released later this year. Rumors have persisted about an off-screen romance between him and co-star Zoë Kravitz, but sources say they’re just pals.
